The adaptability for design is most put to the test in reduced square meters; the challenge in these smaller spaces is even bigger when the time comes for renewal. Read more

A one bedroom apartment in the Quilmes suburbs was all a young man needed to live, work and entertain friends, an ideal home to fit his tastes and lifestyle. The interior architectural design required from the Studio meant resolving all these different aspects within limited space. But far from being a limitation, working within a constricted space was taken as a characteristic of the project that called for rational, yet esthetically pleasing answers. With this objective in mind, flexible spaces were planned, with fixed equipment that would make room for the owner’s every need. The parquet wood floors were painted black, ultimately a very personal touch. A great wall-to-wall bookcase in the living room was the showcase for different objects, pictures, books and souvenirs from trips around the world. Several built-in pieces of furniture were perfect for storage to keep things in order. The kitchen was completely redone and turned into a clean area, full of compartments to put away all types of accessories, which made it totally functional. Neutral earth tones in the color palette reign in the atmosphere and the wise combination of existing pieces turned this apartment into a faithful reflection of the owner, with all his passions and obsessions.
